Zamgrid is a registered and licensed electrical contracting firm based in Kitwe, on the Copperbelt region of Zambia. Proudly accredited by the Engineering Registration Board of Zambia and the National Council for Construction, we are trusted professionals committed to delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality solar and electrical solutions.  

ZamGrid was incorporated on January 28, 2019, as a limited liability company in accordance with the Companies Act (No. 26 of 1994) of the laws of Zambia. The company was created to provide electrical services within the Copperbelt region and be a provider of solar energy products and services in Zambia.

Richard Mumba

Director

Richard has been working in the electrical field since 2005, having initially trained at the Livingstone Institute of Business Engineering Studies in 2004. Between 2012 – 2013, he studied with the Institute of Commercial Management for an Advanced Diploma in Project Planning and Management. From 2014–2017, Richard studied for a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Project Planning and Management. Richard has over 15 years of hands-on electrical experience.

Tim Hickman

Director

Tim is a professional electrical engineer who has been working in solar PV since 2006 on many projects across the world. As well as working with Zamgrid, Tim is the founder of Polygrid, a specialist solar PV consultancy providing technical advisory and onsite services internationally.

Emmanuel Mbabiko

Director

Emmanuel is a Chartered Accountant and Fellow of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accounts, Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK), Fellow of the Institute of Directors (Zambia), Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and Chartered Global Accountant. He has worked in both the Public and Private sectors for over 34 years.
